Our history
Job Squad was established in 2018 by a pair of ambitious Danish entrepreneurs who share a strong passion for recruitment and human resources. One founder brings extensive experience in corporate recruitment, while the other is a dedicated startup enthusiast, having successfully launched four ventures. Together, these dynamic individuals combined their expertise to create Job Squad, an innovative recruitment agency that blends personalised service with a corporate touch.
We envision a world where everyone feels free to discover new cultures, define their purpose, and shape their own path. As we continue to grow and enter new markets, we remain agile and adaptable, embracing change as a constant in our journey. Our vision is to be a trusted global platform that connects people and cultures, fostering belonging, opportunity, and sustainable growth for individuals and businesses alike. By nurturing meaningful connections, we help build workplaces where talent thrives and employers succeed now and in the future.
How it started
Initially, Job Squad operated without a dedicated office space. In Denmark, we joined an incubator office shared with other startups, creating a stimulating environment that fostered a strong entrepreneurial mindset. Meanwhile, in Malta, we embraced a flexible approach, working from various locations such as cafes, burger joints, apartments, and restaurants, making the most of the available internet connections and adapting to different settings. We embraced a nomadic approach, constantly on the lookout for reliable internet connections as we traveled. This continued for a span of two months until we finally discovered our permanent office space in Spinola, St Julians. Additionally, we swiftly established an office in Fuengirola, Spain
Our team of 15 colleagues was based in these 3 offices until the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. In response to the pandemic, we underwent a structural transformation, enabling our employees to work from home. Consequently, we made the decision to close the offices in Fuengirola and Malta, transitioning to a fully remote setup for all our team members. This shift has not only granted our employees greater flexibility and autonomy but has also expanded our talent pool significantly, allowing us to recruit from a much larger and diverse pool of candidates. Today the team in rapidly reaching 40 in numbers, living all over Europe.

Each and every member of Job Squad is deeply passionate about recruitment and, even more importantly, about assisting individuals in taking the same transformative step that our Squad members have taken themselves—relocating abroad. Every aspect of our work is done with a sense of joy and enthusiasm. We don’t view candidates as mere numbers; instead, we see them as fellow life explorers. We love to share our knowledge, providing advice, and hopefully inspire a little on the way too.
