Paulina

International Recruiter

Paulina is one of our recruiters at Job Squad and joined the team in June 2026. Originally from Poland, she spent six years living in Barcelona before returning to Poland for a while. She already knows she wants to move back to Spain in the future and is looking forward to discovering even more of the country. Before joining the Job Squad, she had already built four years of experience in recruitment.

What Paulina enjoys most about being a recruiter is connecting the right people with the right opportunities. She loves knowing that her work can have a real impact, helping candidates find a better job while also helping companies grow. One of her favourite moments is calling someone to tell them they got the job. Hearing the excitement or relief in their voice reminds her why she chose recruitment in the first place.

Her international journey started at the age of 18, when she spent four summers working abroad as a hotel entertainer. Those experiences sparked her passion for living internationally and inspired her to keep exploring. Later, she completed an Erasmus semester in the Basque Country, followed by an internship in Barcelona. After the internship, she was offered a full-time position and decided to stay. Barcelona quickly became home, and she hopes to return there again in the future.

For Paulina, the best part about moving abroad is immersing yourself in a new culture. She enjoys meeting open-minded people, discovering beautiful places, and experiencing everyday life from a different perspective. Every move has taught her something new and helped her grow both personally and professionally.

Outside of work, Paulina enjoys discovering new places, going on small hikes, trying local food, and making the most of good weather. If there is a beach nearby, that is usually where you will find her, spending time with friends and family or going for a swim.

Her advice for anyone moving abroad comes from her own experience. Join local Facebook groups and connect with people who already live there. Attend activities and social events to build your network from the beginning. Take care of important paperwork as early as possible, learn how the local healthcare system works before you need it, and bring enough savings to cover your first weeks abroad. And finally, pack light and leave some room for the memories and souvenirs you will bring back.
