Valencia, Spain
We start off this list of sunny destinatinos with Valencia. This city on the east coast of Spain experiences amazing weather every summer. The average temperature during this season will be 30–33°C. Perfect temperatures to go for a beach day. In Valencia you have easy access to multiple beaches. There’s always life at these beaches. From the best bars and restaurants to options for water sports, you can find it all on and around the beaches in Valencia.
Going to the beach in Valencia is not a special trip. Because it is so accessible, it becomes something part of your daily life. In summer, you can also enjoy lots of open-air concerts and festivals in and around the city. So if you have decided to start working in Spain, Valencia is a great option.
Malta
With over 300 days of sunshine every year, Malta is the perfect place to escape winter depression. In the summer, temperatures rise to 28–35°C. This creates a relaxed life, because that weather doesn’t allow you to race or stress through the days. Because of the smaller size of the island, there’s always a beach close to where you live.

Athens, Greece
If you start living and working in Athens, prepare yourself for busy summers. With temperatures of 30°C+ life during midday slows down, but in the evenings there are countless opportunities and possibilities for you. You could visit the Athenian Riviera, just south of the city. There are a lot of amazing beaches and seaside spots there.

Varna, Bulgaria
Maybe Varna isn’t on your initial list of dream sunny destinations when it comes to great weather. But we suggest you take a look at it! In June, the city starts to become alive. Locals and expats spend their days at the beach and Sea Garden, where they can swim, sunbathe, jog, or enjoy cafés and bars right by the water. The long promenade is a social hub from morning to night.
With temperatures between 22°C and 30°C, life is very comfortable in Varna. Life is very focussed on enjoying the sea. You can go paddleboarding, kayaking or wakeboarding. You will also enjoy evenings at the Sea Garden, a huge seaside park that is perfect for walking, cycling, picnics, and exploring gardens, sculptures, and sea views.
