How many tax do you pay in Spain in 2026
If you spend more than 183 days during a year in Spain, you’re generally a tax resident. In 2026, there will be a special law for expats, the Beckham Law. If you qualify for this law (moved to Spain for work and no resident in Spain in the 5 prior years, you can opt into a special regime. This means that there is a 24% flat tax on Spanish-sourced employment income up to €600,000. If you don’t use the Beckham Law, income tax is progressive.
