Estrella is our Spanish recruiter and she is based in Granada. She joined Job Squad a month and a half ago and has quickly settled into the role. What she enjoys most is speaking with people from different countries, using her language skills, and learning about their interests, talents, and career goals.

Her love for travel and curiosity about culture have shaped much of her life. She first moved abroad during her Erasmus year at university, eager to live in another country and fully immerse herself in a new language and way of life. After that, she kept moving. She joined an internship abroad after finishing her degree, then returned to Spain for her master’s. Once that was complete, she packed her bags again and headed to London, where she spent the next 12 years.

London was exactly what she was looking for. With her background in cultural anthropology, she wanted to live somewhere diverse and international. For her, London felt like traveling the world without leaving the city. Add to that the music and art scene, and she had every reason to stay. Those 12 years gave her some of the most rewarding memories of her life, and South London still feels like home to her.

Still, the lack of sunshine was tough. After so long abroad, she has now returned to her hometown in Spain, where she feels recharged and closer to her roots.

Outside of work, Estrella loves movement. Dancing and swimming bring her joy and music remains one of her greatest passions. She sometimes wishes she had studied music production, but she still hopes to explore it one day. Above all, her two children are the centre of her life. They inspire her every day and fill her world with love.

Her advice for anyone thinking of moving abroad is simple: enjoy every moment. You will always carry your past experiences with you, but the real growth comes when you open yourself to what is new.
