Dille is an international recruiter from the Netherlands, and she is born on Halloween. Dille was dubbed her mum’s “witch child” after her mother decided to become a witch a few years ago (true story!). She’s now living in Valencia for the third time and if you ask her, it’s easy to see why.

During her studies in International Business, Dille was always curious to explore the world. Her plans to do an internship abroad were cancelled due to COVID, so she decided to take a gap year and began working in Valencia. She had to return to the Netherlands to finish her degree, but her love for Valencia had already taken root.

She worked in Kos for the summer and went back to the Netherlands for a year, and then returned to Valencia to write her dissertation. After graduating, she came back to Valencia once more and this time, she didn’t leave. Dille discovered the best version of herself by starting from scratch. It enabled her to make new friends and build new habits. Her life in Spain involves being around people a lot. Dille loves going out dancing, trying new restaurants, and spending time at the beach. She also enjoys escaping the city to explore beautiful places.

You can always count on Dille for spontaneous adventures. She believes that taking risks often leads to the best stories. Living with an open heart and open mind is the best way to meet new people and explore new cultures. For anyone thinking about moving and working abroad but feeling unsure, she has one piece of advice: Remind yourself that nothing is forever. If things don’t go as planned, you can always go back.
