Julie is one of our norwegian recruiters. Initially she was supposed to begin an apprenticeship in fish farming, but this was not her dream, it was more of a routine next step. A friend who was travelling kept sharing stories from abroad, and it was those conversations that sparked a realisation: it was time for something different. Life felt repetitive, and something was missing.

When Julie got a spontaneous phone call offering her a job in Barcelona, everything shifted. Within a week, she had packed her bags, moved to Spain, and started working there. It was a quick decision, but one that changed her life. Job Squad helped her find that first job, and now she has joined our team to help others.

She loves having the opportunity to help others find their own way abroad, just like she did. What she loves most about living in a new country is the sense of freedom it brings. Starting fresh has allowed her to grow, meet new people, and finally feel like herself. Outside of work, Julie’s all about movement and challenge. She practises Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai in her free time, two passions that keep her focused and grounded.

Her best advice is to people that want to move abroad is: “It is really important to sort out your paperwork early. It might be annoying, but once it’s done, it’s done and you can finally enjoy your new life stress-free.”
