Victor is a mix of cultures, being half German and half Ghanaian, and he now lives in the Philippines. Being half black, half white, and residing in Asia, he enjoys referring to himself as a "Panda" with a bright smile. What excites him most about this role is the opportunity to speak to people from many different backgrounds because each conversation brings a new story and perspective.
Victor moved to Morocco in 2019 which was a challenging and rewarding experience. He knew no one, didn't speak the language, and was unfamiliar with the local customs. But he felt a strong urge to overcome his fear of the unknown, which has turned out to be one of his best decisions. Since then, he has lived on three different continents and is ready for more to come. His travels have taught him the valuable lesson, that life is a journey, and as long as we live, the journey never ends.
Victor appreciates aesthetics and beauty, whether it's of a sunset over the Atlantic Ocean, the majesty of sculptures set against natural landscapes, or the elegance of classical literature and music. This also fuels his passion for exploring the world and discovering new art forms. Furthermore, Victor has selective memory so he remembers what truly matters to him and lets the rest fade away, focusing on the most impactful moments.
His best advice on moving abroad is to stay away from negative influences. He advises against spending time with people who complain about their own choices. You should dive head first into the new environment, to explore the country, its culture, and its people. The more you know, the richer your experience will be. Moving to a new place is like starting a new chapter, where each relocation offers new personal growth opportunities. Everything is new, and he thrives on the challenge of adapting to his surroundings, finding joy in the unfamiliar.
